A lot of people got worked up at Jon for publicly talking about this. But I’m glad he did. Jon inspired my family and I so we tipped our server this morning (Christmas Eve) $100. She started crying and hugged me. Never would have thought to do it without Jon’s original tweet.
My father-in-law goes to @WaffleHouse on Christmas Eve & gives huge tips. This year, my family is doing that. We’re giving every worker there a $100 bill on Dec 24th. Waitress, cook, guy sweeping, everyone. My kids are amped! Generosity is more fun than we often think.
