Just a reminder that Jesus Christ was a poor brown-skinned immigrant that the MAGA crowd would call to be deported in current times.
It’s low key sickening how many armchair NTSB agents are out here reposting and analyzing a video of people dying.
What are your red flags for developers in the workplace (or an interview)? I’ll go first: typos in their code or comments. Short of a dyslexia diagnosis it shows a lack of attention to detail.
Clearly I’ve missed several days, maybe weeks. Wtf is vibe coding and why should I care?
Marker interfaces are a code smell. Prove me wrong.
Its posts like this that immediately make me tap the “show me less like this” option. Bait posts are dumb af.

I feel like 90% of the posts in the dev community are just baiting one group or another, and it has gone from kind of funny to awfully toxic. I just want pics of your cats laying across your keyboards, is that too much to ask?
Legit question: why are people on here enraged by tampons in men’s rooms right now? What did I miss?

I was always taught that a function should only have a single return statement, e.g. don’t have returns for each case in a switch, even if it’s ultimately the behavior you want. Instead assign to a variable and return the value at the end. Anyone else?
Popularly unpopular opinion: we need more specialization and exchange in software development. The full-stack developer is a myth that we need to stop promoting.
I feel both seen and attacked.
Seeing the solution to this tells me only that a candidate knows how to solve this particular problem. As a hiring manager I’m far more interested in knowing how a candidate would approach this problem than I am in the solution.
