Dear International students and Postdocs, Stop for a quick minute and see how far you have come. Not just, how far you have may have travelled, but how many brave steps you have taken to get here..
I can’t believe this needs to be said. TransGENIC mice are not TransGENDER mice
It’s 5 years today, that I’ve been at Hopkins! I cannot believe the stretch, the push, the pull, the challenge, the growth and refuge this job has been. I’m grateful for everything, including the hardest moments, the people I’ve come to love and the chance to help others!!
Felt like it was the first day of school today! Happy to have met my new & inspirational #illd colleagues in @faroukdey ‘s team at #jhu. Let’s go 2020!! #glowup #phutures #decadechallenge
Excellent opportunity to join a great team and work with @drroshnirao!
Hiring alert 🚨 and a few major updates! Our team is hiring a Senior Director to help lead a team of PhD level career professionals to help all our docs and postdocs @JohnsHopkins with their career design! jobs.jhu.edu/job/Baltimore-… Updates in the thread! @OpenAcademics
Love a good pivot!
🎤 check. Is this thing on? I haven’t been on this platform for a hot second, is academia still on here? Do we still use X? My algorithm is garbage right now and I have no idea what I’ve missed!

I just got the best phone call from my PhD graduate: "I got the job". This is a tough market right now, at least in Pharma. So good luck to those looking for a job.
Still true!!
Yes! Way to go, @drroshnirao 😍 Being raised in a more traditional Greek/Italian household, the expectation in my family was to defer authority to men- The way we need to protect ourselves from our own/societal expectations that women are all things to everyone is so real.
#CareerAdvice | Lead Without Shrinking Too often, women in academe must second-guess our well-earned authority, minimize our accomplishments or dim our light to make others comfortable, writes Roshni Rao. #HigherEd bit.ly/3Qxz234
Empathy is essential for leadership, but unchecked empathy can be a liability. Without boundaries, it breeds entitlement, dysfunction, & burnout. Women leaders : prioritize your well-being & model healthy boundaries. It's not selfish, it's necessary for effective leadership.

Must read from a talented and trusted colleague and leader 👇🏼
Women leaders, especially women of color, are exhausted. The pressure to shrink ourselves, the navigation of the likability vs. assertiveness double bind takes a toll. My latest article in @insidehighered explores this and more. Check it out! insidehighered.com/opinion/career…
See this wonderful piece by amazing @drroshnirao on the challenges of being a woman leader. My favorite takes: -current leadership models suffocates authenticity -boundaries are good and allow time x reflection and growth -don’t shrink, shine -accents are cute @insidehighered

New article in @insidehighered has dropped! Ideas that could be game changing if we were to revamp the Phd to include internships.
Excited to collaborate with @drroshnirao to share how we're transforming doctoral career education here @JohnsHopkins! @phuturescareers
