Yesterday, residents signed up to state comments opposing Texas LNG's tax abatement to the commission. Judge Trevino didn't let everyone comment. County allowed the abatement notice to go forward over the holidays. We have 30 days to urge the County to deny a tax break for LNG!
Thanks to everyone who was able to make it to this action and stand up against LNG. But the fight continues! This meeting approved a public notice to grant Texas LNG a tax abatement. This will be voted on in 30 days! We can't let this vote pass!
Local organizations in the Rio Grande Valley gathered in Brownsville this afternoon to protest Gov. Abbott’s migrant bill signing take place about a mile away. One of them dressed as Santa and carried a sign announcing Abbott was on the naughty list.
