Triple OT crossover game tonight and came away with a W. Every type of end of game scenario, up, down, drawn, big coaching tests. So much learning occurred from valuable in game experience. Feel like we can take on anything now, after a good night’s sleep. Bring on Met 1

Began my first coaching VC campaign last night with a W. I’m excited for the challenges & opportunities this season will bring. All my girls at VC vets but I’m pretty stoked to be part of a team with Mckinnon’s special VC uniforms, a great club tradition

Educating myself & my 16.1 girls on how to challenge and shift our self talk. Over the small amount of games we’ve played, seen a lot of internal frustration leading to more mistakes, missed shots etc. Did some group & individual activities this week which we’ll look to build on

Going into 2022, I’m making a real effort to be aware of my language, using more inclusive terms and minimising my use of outdated phrases. On that note, has anyone got favourite/different ways to refer to the post player that doesn’t include ‘bigs’ ‘talls’ ‘5 man’

“A win is always better than individual stats. If I have zero-zero-zero and we win, it's always better than if I have a triple-double and lose.'' That was Josh Giddey after becoming the youngest player in NBA history to record a trip-dub. Parents: read this quote to your kids.

Really excited to be given the opportunity to represent Vic Metro for the upcoming CMC. Makes it even better to have 3 of my U16 girls selected as well 💪🏼🔵⚪️

Congratulations to the Metro players selected in our @Kumon Australia & New Zealand Country-Metro Challenge! Head to our website for the full list of selected players: basketballvictoria.com.au/news/kumon-cou…

Loved being back on the floor tonight. Comfortable win for the girls so got to try a lot of different offences and defences to find the best fit. An exciting group to be a part of

First session for 2021/2022 VJBL in the books! Included team discussion (with one player videoing in from Sydney!) around our team goals and identity and what actions we need to put in place to achieve them. Very exciting group to be a part of

Incredibly grateful to be recognised by @mckinnonbball as their Girls Program, Coach of the Year. I’m proud to be at a club that appreciates and recognises what coaches do off court and how important that is. Process > Results ❤️💛

Wear It Purple Day is about showing young LGBTI+ people there's hope, people support & accept them & that they have a right to be who they are. There's a lot of work still to be done in the sporting community to make sure young LGBTI+ people feel safe & welcome to participate..

Back tonight as we refocus for what is left of the season. Before lockdown 5.0, we brainstormed and discussed the things in which we want to focus on for the remaining games - communication is a big one!👏🏼🤝🙌🏼👌🏼🗣👂🏼👍🏼👎🏼

The thing that’s brought me the most joy while being back on court this week is hearing athletes cheer and encourage their team mates as they compete and celebrate when they win / succeed. This sort of camaraderie doesn’t translate via zoom
