Of all the college coaches/Pro scouts I have spoke with in my 28 years of coaching, NOT ONE... repeat.. NOT 1, has asked what my players stats were. They did want to know grades/ACT, how they work, the type of person they are, strengths/weaknesses, type of teammate they are, etc.
Parents: Your ball players GameChanger stats are not a reflection of the person you are raising. Stop obsessing. Enjoy the game with them. Remember, more often than not the person(s) keeping score aren’t professionals so they aren’t exact anyway. #BeTheirBiggestFan

Players: as you play tournament after tournament, game after game, this summer, be sure not to lose focus on eliminating physical & mental weaknesses such as: Low game IQ Selfishness Body language Poor off field behavior Being Uncoachable Excuses/Laziness Mentally/physically weak
I think some players fall in love with the IDEA of becoming great rather than the PROCESS of becoming great - It always sounds good that your going to be in the gym working on your game all summer but then the summer comes and you are no where to be found. Actions > Words.
