Covid screening over the phone: any headache nausea vomiting body aches or fever? They always say no. When they come in the clinic: yeah recently I’ve had a headache nausea and a fever with occasional vomiting and my body hurts. 😒
I can barely hear people at the registers because of the glass and face masks; it baffles me that when I ask people to speak up, they say their order even quieter than the first time. Then when I ask for it again, they get mad. I don’t get it.
Customers get mad now when we are out of seasonal drinks like “there’s a reason why it’s called seasonal” One lady insisted I go get more eggnog to make her drink and I insisted that she find a new favorite drink that isn’t seasonal.
Was just standing on the aisle and someone came up to me and was all “how much is on my gift card”. I told her she’d have to go to the register to find out. She kept insisting she couldn’t wait In line while I kept insisting it was impossible for me to find out. People. 2020.
Oh I just love new hires? Especially the one who think they’ll have a job after calling out more 2 weeks straight!
Today I quit at the end of my shift. One of my techs also decided to quit. Coincidentally, one pharmacist at the 24 hour store a few miles away quit today too. Fuck corporate. The workload is imposible and unsafe. We deserve better.
Yo I asked Karen to give me six feet space and she complained to my manager that I “ruined her shopping experience” like when tf does putting my health at risk become part of your shopping experience and when did picking up groceries become an entitled experience?
Like I appreciate people being compliant and wearing masks but like can we all agree that a ski mask is just a bit too much?
We got tacky balls at work today. I low key died. But I also low key realized how much I needed to grow up.
Lol manager worked my department for once and was so abhorred by how creepy lil old men can be; I be like “yup it’s my new normal”
If your not gunna wear your mask in public, don’t go out in public. If you don’t want to wear a mask, fake a mask or wear a face shield or something. It’s called “fake it till you make it” not “act like an ass and ruin everyone’s day with your selfishness.”
I love it when little old white men come right up next to me, breath on me, and then cough on me. It really makes me feel like I earned that minimum wage. 🙄😒
*man asks my coworker out* Her: “sir, you cannot see my triple chins underneath this mask; you don’t even know me.”
I stopped a shop lifter and made him return the can of olives he stole before he quickly bolted from my stern gaze; yes he probably stole $20 of food but I got the olives back
Karen came into the store today and as she was bagging her groceries, she felt it necessary to call one of my coworkers a “turd” for being injured and one of my other coworkers a “bitch” for standing up for him; we caught her on camera and she’s not allowed back in.
Managers spent ten minutes debating whether or not a customer was hot while I spent ten minutes watching a meth addict shop for wine
#DearCustomer: The items & display you're looking for was removed FOUR YEARS AGO. Don't get mad & say you just got them & accuse me of being stupid. You're the one who hasn't been in for years & think being upset will make it reappear.
Fun fact; if child potty seats are sold at a store, 9 times out of 10, they have been test driven
Why tf do people just leave their wipes, gloves, and bandaids on the ground or on shelves? Do we look like 17th century butlers? I swear I’m not getting pain enough for this
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen one of my coworkers sneeze and every customer in the store gasp and run away. I’m not exaggerating. One mother even held tightly to her child as she made her escape.
