A sad day. I often get asked why Smith Rowe is so popular. After those awful times, he (and Saka) were exactly what we were all crying out for. Young, fearless, creative, fun. He embodied the start of a new era. Shame it didn’t end up how we all wanted. Hope he smashes it now.
Maybe the real story is that the Premier League title race is at an insanely high level, has burnt out the 3 top teams, and they’re all struggling to handle the intensity + midweek European football. But that’s too simple and less fun.

You need to judge him in a year or so - he always starts like this, then the players gradually, and then very quickly, get fed up of his methods which are, by all accounts, extremely tiresome and increasingly complicated. League results can (and I suspect will) go off a cliff.
