Another great episode in. This time with @sarahhum, founder and CEO at @cannyHQ. We've been using Canny to prioritize features for a while and love it. Getting to know the person behind it and learning from her was very inspiring🙌🙌

Next version of Polar will have a 'zen mode' where you can just focus and read and toggle UI components when you need them. Will work for #pdf and #epub but also will work.

The other nice thing about sidenav is that you can open up #PDF and #EPUB documents at the same time and easily switch between them.

We just pushed Polar 2.0.115 which enables side navigation by default. This is a big release for us because sidenav also enables some performance improvements and UI changes necessary for some surprises we have in store for you guys.

I think the last sidenav bug is fixed. The goal is to wait until you guys beat it up more and then make it the default. We have some new/cool features that that depend on it. Also have some more performance updates that depend on it too.

Question: when working with web content, do you prefer to first import the web page into Polar and then highlight (as it is right now) or highlight directly in the browser/the web page without importing it first into the repository?

Import into Polar first %53.8
Annotate in browser %46.2
