AI something @AlephAlpha. Building agentic chat & evals

Here's my blog on Understanding GRPO: gitlostmurali.com/blog/grpo-intr…

Given @HamelHusain and @sh_reya 's credibility, I would love to take the evals course. But 2000$ seems like a lot. Even to convince the corporate. What are some best alternatives here?

Love how Sarvam placed their announcements!!! Like here's a model we trained to here's a product we built

Introducing Sarvam Samvaad 🚀 Sarvam Samvaad, our Conversational AI Platform, is designed to help enterprises build, test, and launch AI agents fluent in 11 Indian languages. ▪️Power interactions across telephone, WhatsApp, web, and apps ▪️Handle complex phrases,…

The linter is still complaining. Let me try a different approach by adding type ignores Claude models (3.7 & 4) are ruthless

Cursor Code is exactly what I want my cursor to be. Precise edits and incremental.

Love that Sarvam is reporting inference cost in rupee ₹

VS Code's 'Move Symbol to...' refactoring tool is pure coding magic. No AI, just elegant design that makes refactoring feel like butter. 🤌🤌🤌

Had to take a long distance train and locked in straight for 3 hours of coding. No breaks. No distractions. Pure flow Can't imagine being this focused at work. A notification pops up, or a meeting pops up , etc. Concentration is cooked in the pretense of availability

Paying subscription fees to Cursor/Windsurf just to moonlight as their data annotator is like tipping the chef and doing the dishes

There's something inherently nice about refactoring. Cognitive clarity? Sense of control? Aesthetic satisfaction? Preventive maintenance? I don't know. It feels good and qualifies as my cheap thrill

Big plans

Amazing! Always hoped for Computer-Use to be streamlined

We're launching Computer Use in smolagents! 🥳 -> As vision models become more capable, they become able to power complex agentic workflows. Especially Qwen-VL models, that support built-in grounding, i.e. ability to locate any element in an image by its coordinates, thus to…

Not sure if it’s just the wider startup hustle culture or something specific to Asia, but I just heard a founder say he’s looking for young CTOs who aren’t dating, committed, or married. Ffs What's next - shared bunk beds and founder-forced celibacy?

Indian govt partnering with @SarvamAI is a commendable step. But if public funds are involved, the resulting models should be *open source*. Using taxpayer money to grow a private company's closed IP portfolio is deeply problematic and unfair.

Can we manipulate language models efficiently without breaking the bank/context-limit? Here's a blogpost on In-Context Vectors (@ShengLiu_) which solves it: gitlostmurali.com/ma
