I Hate Programming

@hateprogramming

I am trying to learn programming so that I can get a job. It fucking sucks.

I hate seeing programmers be rich.

I bet programmers wouldn't act so superior if they were paid less. So, yeah, we should teach kids to code.

Dear Programmers: In general, we do not like the way you've made things. Signed, We the People

Can you imagine wanting to do this? Who would want to spend any time this way? ctan.mirrors.hoobly.com/macros/latex/u…

Programming and programming culture are objectively awful.

Going to try again. Going with the Ruby Koans this time. That sounds non-vexing, right?

Programming is a form of hell.

Thinking about code, talking about code, looking at code – all of these spike my blood pressure.

I actually did something right with #git. I am the smartest person alive.

Never google it and never listen to a programmer. Instead, give up and walk away forever.

But, you know, "just google it" is the most comon snarky StackOverflow advice.

Found some other instructions of how to undo the new problem. They didn't work either.

And that is 100% typical. It's a rarity when instructions actually work.

Followed some directions in a blog post. Instead of fixing the problem, they broke something else.

I wish I could take everything I've learned about programming languages and exchange it for something that doesn't suck.

Programming languages are literally terrible.

I just learned that in java, sin isn't *actually* called on a number. Rather, Math is called on the number and passes it sin.

I think I understand why computers never do and never will Just Fucking Work. There's too much separation between designer and user.

I fucking love parentheses. Not.
