For a couple of years this is how I’ve opened the driver’s door on my 2012 Tesla. 😂 The early retractable door handles had a weak drive gear and used a fault prone pressure sensor. Today I finally replaced my Gen 1 door handle (pictured) with a Gen 2 door handle from eBay. 👍
