It’s important to clarify ongoing climate change and implications soon. There is limited time to prepare for actions needed to cool Earth and preserve a bright future. Fortunately, some young people are beginning to grasp the situation. See Groundhog Day - mailchi.mp/caa/groundhog-…
There's been so much COVID going around lately. This variant is causing people to remain infectious longer than other recent variants. This may account for some increasing spread, especially if ppl are returning to work/life after day 5. Please test neg b4 resuming normal life.
There are more workers than ever with a disability due to Long COVID (and increasing remote work). Economists estimate Long COVID has kept 4 million+ out of work in the US, and costs the economy at least $3.7 trillion. You can't fight for worker justice if you ignore COVID.

Exactly. There is no selective pressure for SARS-CoV-2 to become less pathogenic. There is selective pressure for higher transmissibility which can occur with higher viral loads. Higher virus loads can lead to higher pathogenicity.
I only meant to push back on the notion that 'viruses become less pathogenic with time', which I've heard a lot. It doesn't work that way. Viruses select for maximum transmission, period. Sometimes that makes them more pathogenic, other times less. They don't care. 2/
If you input the @StatCan_eng data into @DavidSteadson graph you get 14.6% first infection get long Covid 38% by 3rd infection- the modelling curves were correct. This is literally insane.
For the people not paying any mind to the numbers and not protecting themselves at all (seems like >85% of the population), many will get nailed this month. Try not to be one of them when the hospitals are very busy.

How many people with #LongCovid now have sensory overload whether to bright light or sounds that didn’t have it before? What has helped you? 🎼🔇🔈💡🔆
It's very hard to see journalists finally acknowledging there is a serious climate problem. Al Gore's film was 2006 - 18 years after NASA warned us. I cannot believe society has failed so badly. We have no idea what the future holds. It's so frightening.
US records 409 new monkeypox cases in the last 24 hours increasing its case count to 11,177. This week alone the US added 3,667 new confirmed cases.
CDC is loosening guidelines for covid protection but I always watch the nobel prize winning microbiolgist in our building. He exercises every day, takes long walks...and wears an n95 mask even OUTSIDE
We're being fed to viruses that mutilate us from the inside out by our public health agencies. We have to spend all of our time sourcing protective gear, sharing specs, and reading BMJ, Nature, and the Lancet, so that we can keep ourselves alive. 1/8
