Really great collaboration between @AveriKitsch and our tech writing team to create this superb tutorial and code samples showcasing WebSockets and the use of Redis. And of course because we work at Google, you get a messaging app.

Learn how to build a #scalable #serverless Chat app on Cloud Run using WebSockets 💬💬💬💬💬💬 Bonus: you'll also learn how to connect to Redis from Cloud Run cloud.google.com/run/docs/tutor…

.@ESPN - your coverage of Euro 2020 on ESPN+ is the best advertisement for the multitude of unlicensed streaming services around. Useless, postage stamp sized video coupled with 1-2 second+ audio lag, for $6/month - you're having a laugh. #ENGGER

I have the pleasure of working with Jennifer and pretty much everyone on her team for the last ~3 years. Get in touch with her if you are interested in working on an amazing team and reporting to a wonderful manager.

This election had 1,151 eligible voters. 462 people cast ballots. If you volunteer time, register. If you donate $99+ a year you are a supporting member and can vote as well. python.org/psf/membership…

So yes. I would encourage more people to sign up as a PSF member. Anyone who donates 5 hours or more a month can join for free. I would make this part of your meetups, virtual events, etc. It only takes mid-200s votes to be elected.

Usage of the API will be restricted. We are prioritizing engagements with governments and public health authorities at this time. For more information: google.com/covid19/exposu… support.google.com/googleplay/and…

An often understated positive is the performance of Go apps in serverless deployments. Obviously YMMV but definitely worth investigating at the design phase.

I'm proud of all the ways Go helps people serve people, but especially of this: the exposure tracing server is written in Go and is open source. This service will help save lives. I'm thankful that Go can help in the worldwide response to COVID-19. github.com/google/exposur…

The team has been working 7 days a week for almost two months on this, it's been a privilege to witness. If you find bugs in the docs (which you no doubt will!) please file a PR or an issue.

To help stop the spread of #COVID19, we're open sourcing a reference Exposure Notifications server at github.com/google/exposur…. This was a huge group effort including @DrMikeHelmick, @chriswilcox47 @illiteratehack and many others!
