Honoured to have been invited to speak at the International MS Cognition Society’s 10th annual meeting in Bern Switzerland #IMSCOGS #MS
We are in Bern this week, for the 2024 @imscogs meeting. Proud of a fantastic meeting on cognition in MS, organized by prof. Penner, which I support in my role as current president. Keep an eye on our social media accounts and website for more upcoming events!
Join us in Bern! There is still time to submit an abstract, visit imscogs.com for more information.

Today is #WorldMSDay. As IMSCOGS we aim to improve lives of people with MS with (and without) cognitive difficulties, through better diagnostics, understanding, monitoring and treatment. Join our next conference Bern in September! More information on imscogs.com
Great discussions and many questions at the end of the cognition session at #ECTRIMS2022. Great to see so much interest in this important field!
Dr Laura Cacciaguerra finishes the cognition session at #ECTRIMS2022: Pediatric MS patients show very extensive functional connectivity changes, related to cognition. Results differed in patients above and below age 16.
Dr. Ilse Nauta at #ECTRIMS2022 presents results on her mindfulness-based rehabilitation trial. Results are very promising, showing relations with brain function and an impact on processing speed.
Dr. Carolina Rimkus at the cognition session at ##ECTRIMS2022: People with #MS can be stratified based on cognitive performance combined with anxiety and depression, which is reflected by different neurodegenerative profiles.
Cognition at #ECTRIMS2022 continues with submitted abstracts. Dr Sumowski: Are we really measuring information processing speed with the SDMT? Other speed tests are not impaired in #MS. Time for a re-appraisal?
Next at the cognition session at #ECTRIMS2022, prof. @HannekeHulst from Leiden university with a very clear message: We must focus on early primary and secondary prevention aimed at preserving cognitive function, and not only focus on improvement!
Great #cognition session at #ECTRIMS2022 in the main hall! We kicked off with prof. Amato discussing cognitive profiles in elderly patients. How should we approach cognitive evaluations in these people with MS?
Tomorrow our @ECTRIMS @imscogs summerschool kicks off. Day one: assessment, riskfactors, imaging, neuropsychiatry and behavior. Day two: treatment, pediatric MS and daily life. Day three has a diverse program with many workshops. Hope to see you all there! ectrims.eu/ongoing-educat…

And with this final panel discussion, the end of the meeting has come. We would like to thank everyone for coming to Bordeaux and/or following along on twitter and the Bordeaux team for organizing. See you in the fall for our next online event, keep watching this space!
The last presentation of IMSCOGS 2022! Our president prof. Brochet, on how to tackle information processing speed with rehabilitation strategies in #MultipleSclerosis
Prof De Luca: Which strategies to choose when we want to target memory impairment with cognitive rehab in MS?
Prof. Krupp: Can we treat cognitive decline and behavioral issues in pediatric MS?
And once more our very own @dr_sarahamorrow filling in for prof Benedict: How do relapses affect cognition in MS? What is the evidence for the presence of a “cognitive relapse”?
