People use christian doctrine to control other people with fear, obligation and guilt. To feel morally superior. To judge and exclude others. To keep women subject to men. Very few people use the label 'Christian' to mean that they practice the art of living the way Jesus taught.
Time does not heal all wounds. Some wounds change everything about a persons world and that person is adapting to that change for the rest of their lives. Yes, they need time but they also need care and understanding to adapt and create peace.
Was thinking of the phrase "no one really gives a damn" about the things that negatively impact me. I know that's an exaggeration. Maybe one or two people give a damn. That my encouraging thought for the day.
