Markarian Chain, a group of galaxies of the Virgo Cluster. Hundreds of them can be found in this awesome structure. In the image, made with a small 8,5cm telescope, tens of them have been detected!

The Sculptor Galaxy, NGC 253, is an starbust intermediate #spiral #galaxy, which means that it is currently undergoing a period of intense star formation. It is situated 11 million lightyears far. Image: #Anysllum #Observatory @AstroSabadell

This interacting pair of galaxies is called Arp 142! Made up of a disrupted spiral galaxy (NGC 2936) and an elliptical, egg-shaped galaxy (NGC 2937), this duo is located about 326 million light years away in the southern constellation Hydra. Happy #WorldPenguinDay!

A digitally inverted pencil drawing of the galaxy group Hickson 44 in Leo. This drawn from a sketch made using my 444mm Dob on a very recent @WestLondonAstro visit to the fantastic dark sky site of Llanchindda Farm (cambrianway.com) in Mid-Wales. SQM was 21.57mag/arcsec

Omega Centauri, the largest globular cluster in the sky. An estimated 10 MILLION STARS, and ~4 million solar masses. 😱 My first new DSO data in quite a while! It was a quick one but I think it turned out nice anyway. 18x3m, shot with EAGLE CORE. #astrophotography
