Given that road wear scales with axle weight to the 4th power (RW=kg^4) and these large vehicles are 4 - 8 times more likely to kill other road users, $30 is practically symbolic. These fees should be thousands.

Colorado is considering a weight-base car fee to address car bloat: 🔹 Fee would would apply to cars >3,500 lbs, up to $29.90/yr 🔹 $$ collected would fund bike lanes, road diets, automatic cameras, etc 🔹 Only collected in the 12 most populous counties cpr.org/2023/09/29/col…

Hey @CityGreenville, when are we going to get a citywide 20 mph speed limit? Our roads are MUCH more dangerous than Amsterdam, so we desperately need a focus on safety.
