Weird how unbelievably trivial things most of the public don’t give a damn about can dominate news for a fortnight, and nobody seems to know quite how or why this keeps happening
All the crises we face are interconnected. The benefit of Twitter is that experts on different subjects could talk to each other and learn from each other in a public forum — especially on topics that the mainstream media avoids, and especially as institutions fail the people.

Withdrawing from the ECHR would enable the government to treat everyone in the same way as it is treating the refugee who was the subject of this judgement. It must be resisted.

The Government say massive delays at Dover this week are nothing to do with Brexit, while banning staff from giving interviews. One customs agent took us inside to speak to drivers who had been waiting up to 24 hours. Every single one of them blamed Brexit.

3 out of 4 of our household have covid. The 4th is 10 and the gov say he should be in school. But the 2 of us who could take him there are ill and isolating. Gov guidelines are that the school now have to mark him down as an unauthorised absence. It’s a dangerous shambles.
