I think Red Zone being commercial-free was a bigger feature than "showing touchdowns". When you multi-screened, you could always depend on at least one TV to have something going on, and that was Red Zone.

The Jaguars and Panthers each now have gotten financial help for stadium renovations from their cities; the two-time defending world-champion Chiefs did not.
