I have somehow (??) hit the ground running with my PhD in CNI security, with the aim to focus on rail. I have sent out emails to those who offered to help and am so grateful and excited to see where this goes. Hoping to connect with as many techies within the sector as possible!

Visited the Big Pit National Coal Museum in Blaenavon, Wales. The tour underground was held by a miner who worked in the pit many decades ago and he had the most incredible stories to tell. Just in awe of the miners, their work and, ultimately, their camaraderie.
I still haven’t done this! 😱 I’ve got the emails flagged to reply to. My application is in now so I’ll be in touch between now and when I (hopefully) start in April.

A perk of this job is the need to take cab rides around the network to make regular checks for anything affecting freight. Today that took me from Charlton to Cannon Street via the recently renewed Lewisham Junction. Always amazes me going over this at the front. #TrainLife
