Elated to share that after 16 months of grad school finishing with a 3.9 gpa in the CMHC program, I'm proud to share I successfully passed the state counseling exam (NCE) this week, which means I can now add some extra letters behind my name. It's official LPC-A โจ๏ธ๐ซถ๐พ๐ช๐
Hats off! ๐๐ฅณ I am thrilled to see the incredible growth and success of my little scholar in school. It is clear that he has been surrounded by a team of exceptional educators and a phenomenal principal who have helped him thrive. Oh, the places he will go! ๐๐ซ๐ง๐ฟโ๐Go Cullen!
I began my professional career in education @ConleyES_AISD, thanks to @KatyRoede who hired me. I was only there for 3 yrs, but it's hard to believe that 19 yrs have passed by so quickly. It was great to reconnect with former colleagues and bid farewell to Conley Elementary. ๐ซ๐ฉ๐พโ๐ซ

The opportunities that come my way have been unexpected, but right on time. I am happy to share that I've accepted a position with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) Mental Health and Wellness Team under the Division of Safe & Supportive Schools. The journey continues! ๐ฉท
Today I saw students taking ownership of their learning. My 2 teachers for the day did an amazing job setting expectations and enforcing class rules. Week one and we have leaders showing out! @Escamilla_AISD #myaldine
How can you support tchr well-being? Create an SEL rm dedicated for tchrs. @KimCounselor1 is doing just that! Tchr stress has a direct impact on school climate. Tchr can utilize this space as a way to refocus, recharge, and leave w/ a renewed sense of energy @SELCulture_AISD

I had lots of fun visiting Mr. Zamora's 1st grade class @RaymondES_AISD @AldineISD @SELCulture_AISD! I observed their SEL time using Quaver, and they did an amazing job ๐ซโจ๏ธ๐ Way to go, Mustangs! ๐ Learning SEL through engaging songs ๐ต and stories!
