Elated to share that after 16 months of grad school finishing with a 3.9 gpa in the CMHC program, I'm proud to share I successfully passed the state counseling exam (NCE) this week, which means I can now add some extra letters behind my name. It's official LPC-A โจ๏ธ๐ซถ๐พ๐ช๐

The opportunities that come my way have been unexpected, but right on time. I am happy to share that I've accepted a position with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) Mental Health and Wellness Team under the Division of Safe & Supportive Schools. The journey continues! ๐ฉท

How can you support tchr well-being? Create an SEL rm dedicated for tchrs. @KimCounselor1 is doing just that! Tchr stress has a direct impact on school climate. Tchr can utilize this space as a way to refocus, recharge, and leave w/ a renewed sense of energy @SELCulture_AISD

I had lots of fun visiting Mr. Zamora's 1st grade class @RaymondES_AISD @AldineISD @SELCulture_AISD! I observed their SEL time using Quaver, and they did an amazing job ๐ซโจ๏ธ๐ Way to go, Mustangs! ๐ Learning SEL through engaging songs ๐ต and stories!
