Hi, I'm Jess! 😄 I'm a former cosmetic chemist turned self-taught developer. I've heard such great things about the #techtwitter community that I just had to join. I hope to connect with more people in the tech industry and to learn and grow with you all.
A bit off topic but very important in my opinion. My partner has finished rebranding her company to Ahma & Co to raise awareness for #postpartum & supporting #motherhood I know there a lot of fantastic women & mothers in tech so thought I share with y'all!💜 Socials below 👀👇
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT DEVS! 🥳 Our team has been tirelessly working to provide more value to our community! We’ve listened to your feedback and we are proud to announce that you can now sign up and submit solutions! Make sure to leave feedback and share! frontendeval.com
If the things you really wanted were handed to you, you may not cherish them as much. Cherish your Development journey and every small and big milestone you achieve. It's time next year, you'll be many steps closer to your goal. LET'S GO!
Apparently Junior Devs need to hear this: It is 100% OK to use a GIT GUI, use it as a tool till you want to use command line GitLens is an awesome basic GUI extension marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName…
The biggest challenge I faced at work today was not the task itself, but instead was centering a div using Material UI. Wth 😵💫😂
IT'S HERE!! My first YouTube video youtube.com/watch?v=bj0fOK… Take a peek into what I do in a week as an iOS engineer and career coach, meeting @miasibala from Twitter IRL, aesthetic coffee making, and whether you're too old to code
In a coffee chat with a senior work buddy, he mentioned how everyone is a junior and senior at something. He's way better in system design, but he learns a lot on frontend from me. So peeps, don't get tied down by job titles, be open minded in learning from everyone you meet ✨
Today was my 3rd day of work as a software engineer and my pull request was approved!! And I did it all by myself! 🥳🥳 I can't believe I'm really doing this. So unbelievably happy and grateful for this opportunity. If I can do it, anyone can do it. Don't give up on your dreams
Hey everyone 🌊 I’ve missed you all and I miss writing! Here are some reflections I’ve had over the past week:
Just wanna say thanks to everyone who has supported/helped me the past few months. Couldn't have done it without you all. Super excited to announce that I just signed an offer today!! I did it!!! I'm a software engineer!! 🥳🥳🎉🎉
Prepping for second round interviews (and every round after) makes me feel really anxious/stressed because things begin to feel more real and get more technical. Any tips to help with anxiety? Me right now...
Just had a chat with @Wolverine0527 and got some great tips for applying to jobs and interviewing as a junior dev. Thanks again, Vincent, for sharing your knowledge and experiences with me! 😄 #techbobachats

I scraped Ulta's website for skincare products and their ingredients 😆 Not really sure where this project is headed but it was fun! Backend - Python/Flask/BeautifulSoup Frontend - JavaScript/React
Today's checklist: ✅ brushed hair ✅ fuzzy sweater to keep me calm ✅ sweaty hands ✅ fried brain cells ✅ water in case I get a frog in my throat ✅ taylor swift - shake it off ✅ alcoholic beverage waiting for me tonight Am I forgetting anything?
If you were a vending machine, what would you vend and why?
I created this in hopes of helping someone who might want to network & is afraid to do it. You are not alone. This wouldn't have been possible without @shashiwhocodes @eddiejaoude @bookercodes Can I Network? { by @engineeringlynn } @hashnode #100Devs hashnode.com/post/can-i-net…
