It was a impressive workshop!
AROMA project workshop in Paris 📸 The AROMA consortium celebrated the end of the project with a “𝘣𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 7𝘛 𝘔𝘙𝘐” workshop in Paris (Oct 30th). A real success with enlightening presentations from world leaders in our field! 👏
To plan the future, the PFC represents a step-by-step map of actions, and at every step, this plan moves to the past like a conveyor belt. This proposes a super simple neural-subspace architecture for planning. A toy environment can clarify it. Here is my toy model and notes:
Any #aphantasics here? We’re looking for participants for a short test on memory (~15 min, online, aph. or not). You can do it right on your phone, just using your fingers — no setup needed. The task is quite challenging... at least it was for me! 😅 etabbane.fr/experiments/me…
Adam’s response to recent letters, including two of ours. A real privilege to contribute to such a young interdisciplinary research field, driven by passion and thoughtful debate, and all this, is inspired by Adam’s pioneering discovery of aphantasia. doi.org/10.1016/j.tics…
Very proud to share our @iclr_conf paper: TopoNets! High-performing vision and language models with brain-like topography! Expertly led by grad student @mayukh091 and @MainakDeb19! A brief thread..
(link fixed) New theory: Categorization is Baked Into the Brain It is not at the end of sensory processing. It's computation occurring throughout the cortex as predictive feedback shapes feedforward processing. #neuroscience doi.org/10.31234/osf.i…
Is vivid imagery reported faster than weak imagery? YES. There is an inverse correlation between subjective vividness and RTs in imagery tasks (N=117). doi.org/10.1016/j.cort…
Not all mammalian brains were created the same. The granular prefrontal cortex, an area appearing the novo in primates is wired for mental representations and precise executive control of the rest of the brain. Very important ground-breaking work 👇 cell.com/cell/abstract/…

Does aphantasia have unconscious imagery? Thrilled to annonce our new paper out on @CurrentBiology sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
We provided three criteria following the current definition of unconscious imagery by @BenceNanay, and examined the emerging neuroimaging evidence on aphantasia.
