At our @georgetownsfs commencement last year, we honored those brave souls who sacrifice their own freedom to secure our freedom. @Dasha_Navalnaya spoke movingly of her father’s struggle. Today we mourn the death of @navalny & call for justice in his memory.
Last night we welcomed three speakers to offer reflections: Debra Tice, mother of political prisoner Austin Tice (@GUAlumni’02, L’13); Dasha Navalnaya, the daughter of political prisoner Alexei Navalnay; and Evan Mawarire, a former political prisoner himself.

In the history of the Marshall program, the only schools to have 4 or more Marshall Scholars in a single year are Harvard, Yale, Stanford and MIT. @georgetownsfs joins that rank this year with these four outstanding students. We are so proud of them!
Adrian Ali-Caccamo (SFS’24), Hari Choudhari (SFS’24), Anya Wahal (SFS’23) and Michael Lundgren (SFS’22) will pursue their graduate education at any university in the United Kingdom through the Marshall Scholarship.
