This response sent me on a multi-day doom loop of buck passing which dead ended. Meanwhile, today I set up and launched an @Etsy store in less than 10 minutes.
Have sold hundreds of used books on eBay over the past year, but Amazon refuses to give us a seller account. No reason given. Meanwhile, a million scammers create hundreds of Amazon seller accounts every day and @Amazon doesn’t care.
Recently my wife and I were talking about how certain foods no longer taste like how we remember them from our childhood. For example - If I had a certain candy bar as a child, that candy bar now tastes like a chemical to me. It's not even appealing anymore. I wonder if…
You’d have to get taste buds to adjust. All the sugar and salt and mystery chemicals make it difficult to appreciate real, but once you get used to real, you won’t go back. 😉
Weird truth: The MOST UNHEALTHY families I've ever worked with, the kids were in multiple sports. So many competitive sports that they were never home, never ate dinner together, and had no family life to speak of. Even broken families functioned better than these families.
The best parenting move I’ve ever made is refusing to sign my kids up for competitive/travel sports

A hedge fund manager, sending his kids to one of the most elite private schools in Manhattan, told me how their school straight up refused to allow his kids to accelerate in math The school’s attitude was “if you don’t like how we teach, there are plenty of other families who…
in California, too, I've heard a weird number of stories of parents assuming that the high price tag and good reputation meant a private school would offer rigorous academic instruction and then it....didn't.
I had a new student in my Algebra II class. She was homeschooled previously, and this was her first experience in public school. Two days in, she’s already unerolling. I’m not surprised, given our last conversation. Her words when I asked her what she thought: “I wanted to see…
Bring back brick houses. No more cheap plywood houses that fall apart right after purchase. Bring back solid, beautiful brick.
this myth is a pet peeve of mine. yes, infant mortality used to be extremely high, and yes, that dragged down avg life expectancy but that does *not* mean that ppl had modern lifespans if they merely survived childhood. mortality rates in the past were higher *for all ages*
The average life expectancy was low because it was dragged down by high infant mortality. If you survived childhood you were likely to live quite long. The idea people dropped like flies before 40 is a misconception that falls apart with quick research. Also most people with…
😵💫I-5 BRIDGE - Interstate Bridge Replacement Project’s (IBR) administrator – who’s just announced his resignation – admitted that IBR is “basically the same” project that failed a decade ago, but in the process, he’s spent $273 million on consultants, with more than 40 percent…
Gifted kindergarteners are real and they need gifted support right from the top
People trying to say that there’s no such thing as a gifted kindergartener Meanwhile we’re just over here quietly teaching 2yos to read like 2nd graders
Landlords are using AI-generated images to make properties look better than they are in reality A report found examples of rooms being bigger and buildings appearing different to what they are in person
I’ve looked at 2 houses the last 2 days. Here’s how the process goes. - submit request to tour it on Zillow - I get a realtor randomly assigned to me to show me the house - we meet at the house and they know nothing about it and can’t answer any of my questions because they were…
A huge majority of Americans believe in an afterlife. It's 79% of Baby Boomers. But even higher for younger generations - 83% of Gen X and Gen Z. 87% of Millennials.
As soon as you understand that the government is just the DMV at large scale, it makes perfect sense

Blackstone bought Jersey Mike's in January. I just went in for a sandwich & the deli slicer was indeed dialed down to "paper". They kept the bread, veggies & quantity of meat/cheese slices the same to give you the illusion that nothing changed. These companies ruin everything…
Since Jersey Mikes was bought by private equity they have been dialing down the meat slicers like this
Over a decade ago, just before Hot Ones began, I did the first "Kingsman" press tour. The interviewer ahead of me had silly games with child-like props they had planned for the stars to play to try and go viral on social/YouTube. This has all been going on for a long time.
It's kind of wild how the Hot Ones-ification of press tours means that promoting a movie is now a marathon humiliation ritual.
