It has not snowed in Edmonton. I wonder if this account even knows it’s a disingenuous photo. 🤨 #ableg #UCP
A small gathering of purple haired kids walked out of school and are protesting in front of the Alberta Legislature because they are mad at Danielle Smith. I wonder if they even know what they’re mad about. 🤨

I’m going to sleep tonight with a renewed confidence in Albertans, my long-time friends and new #ForeverCanadian troopers whom I met over the last 90 days. Friends, together we got this. Canada’s in safe hands. Then, I get home, and my daughter is taking over the torch. Yes!!!
It amazes me every time people think the solution to a system problem is an individual choice. Your boss is exploiting you? Get a new job. Class sizes too big? Homeschool. Rent is too high in your city? Move. None of those solutions actually solve the problems.
Homeschooling my one child will not fix the systemic problem of class sizes that are too large. The problem is not my kid. The problem is the number of students in the class.
The Alberta NDP built 169 new schools from 2015-19. They also completed 75 replacements and modernizations of existing schools. From 2019 (UCP elected) to today they have built 28 new schools over 6 years. The UCP doesn't believe in public education.
St. Albert students are organizing. Young Miss Lukaszuk is leading organizing. Let’s support our students’ participation in democracy!
🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨 AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL HAS CONDEMNED THE ALBERTA GOVERNMENT’S USE OF NOTWITHSTANDING CLAUSE IN BILL 2 Secretary General states the province’s anti-strike legislation has disproportionately harmed the rights of women workers amnesty.ca/press-releases… #abed #ableg
Parent with kids in school here. I want properly compensated teachers that have good working conditions and appropriate class sizes. I also want the government to bargain in good faith, not just force them back to work with bullshit legislation. So there’s that I guess.
Bell: Danielle Smith crushes teacher strike, gives parents what they want — kids in school calgaryherald.com/opinion/column…
My kid goes to a designated public school as our schools near home are full/capped. We pay $400/year in bussing. Somehow kids at private schools get this covered. Thanks UCP.
Did you pay your PER STUDENT bus $360 & lunchroom $350 fees before the strike? Kids assigned to Calgary Transit pay $860/yr for monthly passes. Meanwhile the UCP chooses to allocate the LOWEST per student funding in Canada, yet gives this add’l public money to private schools.
Good morning. I'll get right to it. You all need to be fucking mad as hell right now. Because what Danielle Smith’s government is threatening to do in Alberta isn’t a negotiation tactic. It’s a constitutional crisis in the making. #ableg #abed #abpoli #cdnpoli
A question for Alberta Farmers. Did you get compensation for drought conditions from the AB government? Fun fact, your Finannce Minister just received 1.6 million. Is the UCP giving you a fair deal? It's a fair question.
Hey, if there are 35 students in a class, that means UCP is paying $1050 per DAY for that class to stay home. Or about 2x what any Alberta teacher at the top of the pay grid could make in a day. Looks like UCP *could* afford to spend more on education. You just don’t want to.
Nate Horner's ranch received $1.65M last year because of drought. But teachers asking for students to receive the National average in funding is "asking for the moon"
Especially when you factor in the $1,650,000 the government paid out to his ranch last year because it was dry. #abpoli

Danielle Smith is literally going to put the UCP’s official party slogan on Alberta license plates. This is the kind of thing Trump would do — and it’s a red flag. Blurring the line between province and party is not acceptable in a healthy democracy.
Math isn’t her strong suit. As a HS teacher, I teach 4 different classes this semester. 1 is massive, 1 is med size and 2 are relatively small (Math 30-1 for eg). So my ratio is around 25-1… sounds great! But that doesn’t make up for the class that has 51 kids. 🤦🏻♀️
