Religion is morally neutral. It can be used for good. It can be used for evil. When we forget either of the ways in which it can be used, we are in danger of empowering the latter.

Hey @JoyceWhiteVance great commentary on @MSNBC do want to call out that when talking about Judge Cannon you used the phrase “off the reservation.” This is a racist phrase meant to other and exclude indigenous people, please be mindful of language like this.

When I was in the evangelical church I remember the meesage of the gospel is, “I died in your place, this is how you escape my wrath.” When I left, I realized the good news is, “I have lived for you, you are already accepted in my love.” One message is fear. The other is freedom.
