Indeed. At geographic level, one of the strongest predictors of switching from Labour to UKIP/Leave/Brexit Party/Con 2019/Reform over the years has been the presence of coal. It should not be shocking at all
Rarely noted that Wales voted for Brexit (52.5% to 47.5%) – a symptom of discontent. That’s one reason Reform’s rise there shouldn’t be shocking.
I would pay money to watch an old school election broadcast. Two psephologists around the main table, focus on the results, don’t miss a declaration. These days it just feels so dumbed down
Is nobody showing declarations over discussions?
We won't get any Portillo moments because of the TV channels coverage are all vapid panels and not showing any actual vote declarations
Just want to join the calls for more full results and declarations and less chat please! 🙏
Wow. So one of the main funding streams for regeneration and #LevellingUp Britain’s most left behind communities would be basically moved into the Defence budget? Interesting timing that this comes the day after Michael Gove announces he’s standing down.

It was great to attend the reception for new Towns Board Chairs at 10 Downing Street today. @CoalfieldsRegen is excited about working with them as they develop their plans for coalfield towns. Thanks to @ahawksbee and team for the invite and @JacobYoungMP for answering my Q.
Really pleased to have passed my PR Diploma meaning I am now #CIPRQualified A huge thank you to my tutor Chris Tucker @PRAcademy for her support and knowledge during my studies and to my friends and colleagues @CoalfieldsRegen for their faith in me while I completed my studies!
Really good point by Chris Ko of @LAUnitedWay at #CWBSummit that “communities which are more excluded are more used to co-operating”. We definitely see a lot of this @CoalfieldsRegen in the former coalfields with our amazing community spirit.
Great panel discussion in the Grow Your Own session at #CWBSummit - really agree with the sentiment from Gail about the biggest barrier to community wealth building in the public sector is in attitudes not the law.
Interesting hearing about the high costs of housing in cities on the #CWBSummit - big contrast with former coalfield areas where some former pit areas have rows of empty houses. Building community wealth and growing former coalfields can boost them and reduce the heat on cities
Really interesting walking tour around #Manchester at the @CLES #CWBSummit - great way to break up the sessions, learn about practical issues and get the steps in!
Really good point by @bevcraig about how changing discussions around economic growth need to also link into improving life opportunities. This is something we’re working to do @CoalfieldsRegen in our former coalfield communities. #CWBSummit
Great opening remarks from @sarahlonglands @CLESthinkdo at - giving a positive and energetic start to #CWBSummit Great to discuss today how we can build #CommunityWealth in former coalfield communities.
Really looking forward to attending this event on behalf of @CoalfieldsRegen with the great team @LocalTrust The pride and potential of coalfield neighbourhoods is as strong as it always has been - but they need the support to realise their ambitions.
25 years on from the National Strategy for Neighbourhood Renewal, I'm massively looking forward to hosting a Q&A on 17 Oct with Baroness Hilary Armstrong - the minister responsible for the UK's last major neighbourhood-focused regeneration initiative eventbrite.co.uk/e/25th-anniver…
Responses like this don’t help - @TPEassist - you haven’t given me any concrete or useful information and are basically saying “sort it yourself”. Very poor.
Hello Kevin, I apologise for the disruption this morning. Please board the next available or the previous TransPennine Express or Northern service to Liverpool. ^EM
