If someone violates a security policy because they feel like it's preventing them from getting their job done, then sure, you should speak to them about the violation - but you should also speak to them about why it's causing them problems, and see if you can fix those

Nothing makes a product team happier than hearing from customers who are having success with their products/technology. Especially for every 1 good thing we hear, we generally get 10 more of the 'problems' or 'bad' things. We want and need to hear BOTH!
