If you have a child with special needs with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) the Department of Education makes sure your local school district has the resources to meet your child’s needs. No DOE means no one to enforce those IEPs. Your kid is getting warehoused.

I said this years ago, the economy matters. Democrats allowed benefits end or didn’t fight hard enough for student loans or min wage. They kept saying the economy is great, while inflation was raging, rent is high and people are struggling. Dems didn’t meet folks material needs.
At the end of the day, everyday people will remember who benefited them the most materially during a pandemic. Under Trump, student loans were paused, eviction moratoriums happened, more stimulus money, and they received extra fed money via unemployment.

I’m angry, but oddly it’s a cold anger this time. I want to make something good and beautiful in this cruel and stupid world. I want to plant a tree or bake a loaf of bread — not out of cheerful optimism or even hope, but as a defiant middle finger to all this darkness.
Remember, trying to make sense of what makes fascism so appealing will make you feel like you’re losing your mind because it doesn’t operate on anything logical. It is based on grievance, vengeance, cruelty, and control. It refuses to be reasoned with.
