Just bought a year of @liveplusplus , and I feel I can't live without it. It's not just about hot-reloading, by shortening the iteration loop, it keeps me focused and less distracted. Hot deoptimize is also a lifesaver for debugging Unreal Engine. Highly recommended!

Concerns have been raised that Live++ might not be compatible with the recently announced "Dynamic Debugging" feature of Visual Studio. There currently is no reason to believe that Live++ will not work with this feature. We'll have a closer look once it's out of preview.

This is exactly what I do now: release build by default, Live++ recompile file without optimizations if I need to debug line-by-line.
if you're using Live++ you just need to press Ctrl+Alt+O in visual studio and it will "hot-deoptimize" the current file. liveplusplus.tech/docs/documenta…
