People keep saying "unprecedented" like there's never been an election when a Dem incumbent drops out, RFK is running, the Dem convention is in Chicago, there's an unpopular foreign war, the Rep nominee is a crook who thinks he's above the law, and a leading candidate gets shot

have y’all noticed how Black women are collectively bracing themselves for the hate they’ll get during this election season now that Harris is running? this is what we mean when we speak of “chronic/anticipatory stressors w/ adverse health consequences” they regularly endure smh

Looks like Yale school of public health has finally started to say what I have been repeatedly saying since 2020 1) covid creates longlasting autoimmunity by harming t regs 2) harms adaptive immunity 3) causes immune dysregulation 4) persists etc

I’ve seen many fundraisers in prisons. People living on enslaved wages, just pennies an hour, who’ve been denied of their basic needs and dehumanized give what they have to protect and support others. It’s always inspiring and infuriating—from one dark corner to the other.

An incarcerated brother I am in correspondence with donated $17.74 for relief efforts in Gaza. This donation is the sum of 136 hours of his labor in the prison working as a porter/janitor. May his sincere donation be multiplied by the Creator. #Gaza #ceasefirenow

A beautiful reminder of things that are easy to forget in our day to day.

The Vikings' failure to make the playoffs extended Minnesota's streak without an NFL, NBA, NHL or MLB championship to 32 years, the most (by 10 years!) among U.S. markets with all 4 leagues. Like any Minnesotan, I tried to make the best of it here: espn.com/nfl/story/_/id…

Hey premeds, don't put things on your application to med school that aren't true. MULTIPLE applicants this cycle have been denied because they listed things we could easily check and turns out...they didn't do what they said they did. We have the internet. Don't lie.

Just spent my kid's swim lesson finishing typing a review of a very good manuscript into the journal's editorial manager system only to have it all deleted when I tried to submit it. I guess it's my fault for not doing it in Word first, but can I have a little stomp-fest now?

Trying to submit final grades for my fall course and it's not listed on the registrar's website. I just want the semester to end, please, and this is the last task. I have lectures to work on for January and a syllabus to finalize and a course proposal to finish and submit and...
