No matter what you’re hearing about how bad the ICE take over in Minneapolis is, I assure you it’s worse living it. Ice is a roving terror force disappearing ppl. Businesses are shut down. Ppl are not going to schools or hospitals. Ppl are reeling while the mayor does fuck all.
I cannot fathom the feeling of the women who came forward about their sexual assault at the hands of Trump. Seeing millions of people vote for their abuser. My heart absolutely breaks for these women. I believe you, and I am so sorry.
A few reminders as we head into Thanksgiving: -Don't comment on someone's body, even if it looks different than the last time you saw it. -Don't comment on someone's food choices. Those are inside thoughts. -Don't assign moral value to food. You don't need to "earn" pie.

So much food talk is dominated by its potential impact on weight...how wonderful would it be to be present and discuss its wonderful essence to bring us pleasure, experience culture and nourish us.
No person is 100% healed, because healing isn't linear. We go backwards & forwards & sometimes we're all over the place; but that's the process. Also, please don't think you need to be 100% healed to deserve love & good things in life. You deserve everything good coming your way.

When people cherrypick from Amber’s testimony, hyper fixate on her emotions and “body language,” lie about her, and make fun of her, they feed into this culture that hurts ALL victims. Even if Amber isn’t a victim, this behavior hurts victims.
If you’ve resorted to banning books you’ve already lost. You can never kill an idea. Trying to only gives it more power.

Today is #InternationalWomensDay, and March is Women’s History Month. I’m thinking about all the hugs and pinkie promises I’ve shared with girls on the campaign trail. They’re going to make so much history—because that’s what girls do—and make us proud in so many ways.
Food banks are NOT the solution to food insecurity. Real solutions lie in policies that establish income equity, affordable housing & healthy communities. Ensuring the right to food isn't about giving people more food, it's about supporting their ability to access it themselves.
