If you are sitting in an accessible seat on public transport and are able to stand, PLEASE be extra aware of passengers that are less able to stand. We are so often on autopilot that we don’t acknowledge those around us but it can make a huge difference to someone when we do.

‘You need to be a fighter’: living with CRPS
The response to the story of one girl's battle with complex regional pain syndrome has been huge. Here, sufferers tell Channel 4 News how Paige helped shine a light on a much misunderstood condition.
“CRPS is a monster. It shows no mercy. It doesn’t care if you have plans or deadlines. It doesn’t care that you are exhausted and just want to sleep. It comes out of nowhere like a figure hiding in the shadows of a dark alley. It is relentless.” themighty.com/2018/06/what-c…
We desperately need to tackle the idea that someone has to hit ‘rock bottom’ in order to receive mental health support. I cannot reiterate enough how vital early-intervention is. You wouldn’t wait for every bone in a persons body to break before you treated their broken arm.
The McGill pain scale ranks #CRPS as the highest form of #chronicpain burningnightscrps.org/sufferers/pain…
“Pain can make it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep. Also, poor sleep can make the body more sensitive to pain, creating a vicious cycle.” Try these practical tips to help you #sleep: j.mp/2mW8ASl @AmyStenehjemMD #chronicpain #painsomnia #chronicillness
Summer weather is causing absolute havoc to my #CRPS this year, with the heatwave in the UK the burning pain is becoming more extreme with much more frequent flares. Anyone else whose pain levels are negatively impacted by heat have any tips on how to manage the summer heat?
In a world so switched on we can get caught up in believing that by resting, by doing ‘nothing’ is wasting time. In reality it is so important for our mental health, productivity, and to our very existence that we stop, rest and sleep. We are not made to be switched on 24/7.
Please read, absorb and share this article. This beautifully puts into words the reality of living with chronic pain. If you know someone living with chronic pain, please try to show empathy, take time to research and lend a listening ear. #CRPS themighty.com/2017/12/what-t…

What is the most powerful thing that someone has said, or done to help you with your mental health? #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek Some of mine: • "How can I help, pal?" • "I am thinking of you." • "We will win this, together." • "We will catch you." • "Fancy a cuppa & a chat?"
#MentalHealthAwarenessWeek is for the 3 in 4 who don't experience mental health problems just as much as it is for the 1 in 4 who do. We talk about the importance of talking about our emotions but it is equally important to listen. If a loved one is acting differently, reach out.
✨GIVEAWAY✨Follow and RT for a chance to win this big bundle of Mental Health and Wellbeing books and show support for #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek Including some of my favourite books from @MrJonnyBenjamin @bryony_gordon @bodyposipanda_ @matthaig1 @Rubywax & more! (Ends 20/05)
1 in 5 people experience suicidal thoughts, but suicide is not inevitable; it is preventable. The perception of suicide being a ‘taboo subject’ results in silence and avoidance, however by talking openly we can end this stigma. One conversation can change a life. @stopsuicidecam
