Saltonstall wrapped up our “Math Days” in grades 3-8 today to rally excitement for math in the final stretch to MCAS. Students worked on many engaging standards-focused activities and teachers of all subjects contributed to fun days of learning for our students!

The Salts fourth graders used fraction tiles during WIN to discover that you can decompose fractions in different ways and even make equations with fractions!

Our 7/8 students at Sats showed their PRIDE and leadership skills to lead the K/1/2 students in their 100th day parade they once marched in themselves. They Counted by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s and 10’s to lead the parade in both English and Spanish!
Our K,1,2 students at Salts celebrated the 100th day today in many ways! Some standards-focused activities were grouping tens to make hundreds crowns and posters in K/1, and building regrouping 100’s towers in 2nd grade!
Waiting to put away addition materials, students decided to measure each other with number paths! A great reminder that students are naturally curious about the math around them! Thank you Mrs. Grundy for fostering the flexible use of math tools to explore the world around us!
