Is there a «Cracking the Linux System Interview» book? I've been asking this question a lot recently. So, I wrote a series of posts to cover essentials and beyond of shells, process creation, fork, exec, file descriptor, pipe and more. Must read for SREs: biriukov.dev/fd-pipe-proces…
Cool blog on abusing callback functions to execute shellcode. There are so many windows APIs that can be leveraged to execute your shellcode. Really cool stuff! ropgadget.com/posts/abusing_… #redteam #infosec

Learn optimization before studying machine learning if you really want to understand what's going on.
Each Element Has Its Own Unique Spectrum Different elements have different spectral pattern because they have different numbers of protons, and different arrangements of electron – and therefore, they have different amount of energy (that the atoms absorb or emit).

I had a number of people ask for slides based on my "full-stack reversing" Twitter list. Finally had a chance to make a slide deck, and produced a video as well. youtube.com/watch?v=9vKG8-…

Becoming a full-stack reverse-engineer
I'm releasing all the slides (~800!) of my Mobile Security class: mobisec.reyammer.io! They are not perfect, but students learned how to reverse apps, find&exploit real-world bugs, reason about threat modelling / system security, etc. Very proud of them :-) 👶 => 👨💻👩💻
Euclid's lines are "breadthless" but that doesn't meant they are not physical. In fact, Euclid probably didn't define the concept of a line at all; some later editor messed with the text and added useless definitions. intellectualmathematics.com/blog/that-whic…

Google Maps underestimates the time required to hike a trail, because (a) the sampling of points on the trail is only every quarter mile; and (b) the trail has a fractal dimension > 1 (over relevant length scales). Fun thread.
1/ It's a lovely time of year to take a walk through the woods. It's also a lovely time to be asking yourself: "What is the fractal dimension of the trail I'm walking on?"
So @KangarooPhysics has made me aware that this has a fascinating connection with electromagnetism
Don't know why multiplying two linear functions give you a parabola? Just multiply the y-coordinates at several x's and the result will form a parabola.
