The footage again looks terrible for the government. DHS and the Trump administration again rush to exonerate the federal agents and gaslight the public.

Amazing to see a great playcaller and what he can do without a #1 WR and #1 TE. Meanwhile the Eagles have a playcaller who’s special is 3 and outs.

I reject all arguments of the form ***past presidents did illegal things so it's suspect to criticize the current president for doing illegal things.***

Gimme a break. How many innocent civilians did Obama kill with drone attacks in Libya, Somalia, Yemen, and Syria? When Democrats controlled House and Senate in 1989, no one argued Bush didn't have the authority to capture Noriega (under similar pretenses used to capture…

No declaration of war. No AUMF. Maduro’s illegitimacy/narco-state does not suspend the Constitution. These hostilities are unconstitutional. The “law enforcement” rationale is absurd; it collapses Article I. Trump has laid bare how far we’ve fallen. A sad way to start our 250th.

We need more actual constitutionalists like @RepThomasMassie, @randpaul, and @justinamash in government and fewer situational ones like @JDVance, @marcorubio, and @BasedMikeLee. Congress declares war, not unprincipled actors like @realDonaldTrump.

If this action were constitutionally sound, the Attorney General wouldn’t be tweeting that they’ve arrested the President of a sovereign country and his wife for possessing guns in violation of a 1934 U.S. firearm law.

Slippery slope A slippery slope argument claims that some relatively minor action will lead to extreme, often disastrous, results. It’s a fallacy when the slide is just assumed.

False dichotomy A false dichotomy (or false dilemma) occurs when someone asserts two possibilities as if no others exist. The proposition is “it’s either this or that” when reality usually offers this, that, and more.

Post hoc, ergo propter hoc means “after this, therefore because of this”. It’s when someone asserts that, because one event follows another, the first must have caused the second.

Straw man It’s when someone asserts something and the other person replies by (1) distorting it into something different and (2) “attacking” the distortion. Why it’s a problem: The original proposition is neither accepted nor denied — it’s left unanswered.

This is just an appreciation post for Cristopher Sanchez and Jesus Luzardo. I was bummed about no Wheeler in the postseason and those two guys did all Phillies fan could hope for in the first two games.

Tu quoque means “you too”. It’s when someone asserts something and the other person replies by pointing out that the first person does the same thing. That might be true, but it doesn’t address what was asserted.

Show this video to Zohran. A Cuban seeing Costco for the first time gets emotional witnessing the sheer abundance. People who’ve actually lived under socialism are often the most moved by what markets can create. Capitalism is a miracle, actually.

One of the most frequently misrepresented federal statutes—often falsely used to justify unconstitutional presidential war powers—is the War Powers Resolution (or Act) (50 U.S.C. §§ 1541-1550). If only more people would read it. Contrary to what you may have heard about the War…

It is unobjectionable to stay in your home as long as you want. It is immoral to marshal the coercive power of the state to stop neighboring property owners from building new housing for others on land they own because you perceive yourself as having a right to stop change.

The sooner young people recognize no one owes them anything, the better they will be. Boomers have every right to stay put in their homes. It's not their responsibility to redistribute the housing stock equally.
