Given that many children are now catching Covid every year, those who have just started school are potentially going to contract this virus another fourteen times before adulthood. One single infection can be life-changing. But annual infection? It will be catastrophic.
Parents are so tired of illness & of attendance threats. They are terrified of asking work for more leave. Due to this, parents are sending sick kids to sch/nursery out of desperation but also out of spite! The “they caught it there they can have it back” mentality. Relentless!
Just over a month into school. Nits, chickenpox, conjunctivitis, vomiting, diarrhoea, heavy “colds”, excessive tiredness, appetite loss, hand foot and mouth, fever. That’s just what I know of in classes. What % of kids are not learning due to illness - whether in school or off?
