Do you remember when Iceland celebrated nearly eradicating Down syndrome? It was due to genetic testing to determine if the fetus would develop Down syndrome and proceeding to abort it. That’s eugenics, not family planning. P.S. I am extremely pro-choice.
Btw Jews (especially Ashkenazi) have a long history of genetic testing and careful family planning to prevent passing on genetic disorders that are prevalent to their community; nobody accuses them of eugenics bc they don’t want their children to die early or in pain.

the problem is ppl assuming that disabled people can’t possibly have a good quality of life or even love their lives even w/ the “bad” parts of their disability. it’s easier to try to get rid of them than to try to better society so that life is easier + disability friendly

people don’t even go to the doctor and yall expect people to do genotype type testing before having kids. mind you about 45% of pregnancies are unplanned. also genotype testing can be unpredictable and doesn’t always come out with an exact answer.
