New Paper Alert 🚨 It's finally in (digital) print! Part of a truly diverse JAIS special issue on "Envisioning Digital Transformation: Advancing Theoretical Diversity!" It was such a pleasure working with #IoannaConstantiou and @martastrosa! aisel.aisnet.org/jais/vol24/iss…
I’m delighted to share that our conceptual paper on AI has just been published in the Journal of Management Studies, wherein we shift the conversation from seeing AI as an entity to an organizing capability that arises from human–algorithm relations.
If you don’t; someone else will!
To MCP or not to MCP, that's the question. Lmk in comments

A couple of notes: 1/ When Indians say they like Chinese, they are referring to the Indianized version of Chinese, not the Chinese the Chinese cook. 2/ To my North American friends: What constitutes American cuisine 🤔

It took me and my 13 yo, 30 mins to set this (very simple analog) clock up! If it was a digital watch (wearable) it would have taken us 5 mins (or less)! Simple tech (with user manual) is getting much harder to work with, while complex tech is becoming extremely straightforward!
Nothing makes sense (this year at Egos)!
Shoutout to all the amazing scholars examining AI and work! The idea of “nothing university” is definitely interesting, if nothing else: @PaoloQuattrone @kasper_elmholdt @mattbeane @lucianadadderio @AristidouAngela @andrewsarta @thannigan @marleenhuysman youtu.be/0lhmKOR8Www?si…

My two cents on digital technologies and organizing: PS: It's my interview as a new faculty, though I joined @Telfer_uOttawa last summer. Feels good to still qualify as "new" among the many amazing colleagues who started at Telfer this academic year! telfer.uottawa.ca/telfer-knowled…
Do you do research at the intersection of organizations and AI, digital technology, data science, computational social science, communications, information systems and that sort of thing? Five ways to be involved in the CTO division at #AOM2024 aom.org/events/annual-… 🧵👇
Great thinking @susleec! This is huge: "[He] brought a wealth of expertise to the subject matter," while "[she] brought a unique and dynamic perspective!" We need some serious work in making our algorithms smarter, that pick up the prevailing biases, and do better! But how?
I just ran an experiment on Chat GPT-4. First prompt: You are an executive MBA student. Write a course evaluation report (one paragraph) for a female professor of entrepreneurship.
That is @speak2ab (AB) presenting his work on Digital Practices at the Telfer Research Seminar Series, @Telfer_uOttawa @uOttawa! We not only learned new constructs about digital "x" but also new metaphors to understand those new constructs. lnkd.in/euckuk8C
A super interesting study by Max, Tomi, and Kasper! Congratulations on getting this out. It pushes the boundaries of expertise research in management and organization studies.
Management researchers agree that expertise is key to the challenges of today's organizations. But they disagree on what expertise – actually – is. In this @AOMConnect paper Tomi, Kasper and I try to clarify and advance this debate. doi.org/10.5465/annals…
While reviewing for journals, I often feel the urge to make friendly comments on the PDF document itself. I know the importance of traditional review letters, but wouldn't it be better if reviewers could also share direct (anonymized) comments on PDFs? #Reviewing #WeekendWisdom
