Hi guys! My future plans are to continue doing research during the summer, fall and spring with Dr. Johnson in pancreatic cancer. I will be graduating Spring19 and getting ready for my MCAT and Med School application. Good luck to everyone! #prescottbiochemistry

I've had learned briefly about glycolysis, the citric cycle, and ETOP, but this semester I learned even more details of what specific proteins are part of the processes and how molecules interact from step to step. Both organic chemistry and biology into one!#prescottbiochemistry

Hey #sciencetwitter! Do you know any resource or ideas to best create a table of classes of enzymes and their type of reactions examples? i.e. Kinase is involved in phosphorylation. #prescottbiochemistry

My #lightbulbmoment was learning about the break down of starch and how amylase and debranching enzymes can combine together for complete degradation of these. Also how amlylase attacks alpha 1-4 linkages and debranching enzymes degrades alpha 1-6 linkages #prescottbiochemistry

This week I learned that most snowflakes are made by bacteria which express ice-nucleating proteins when they get stuck too high up in the atmosphere and need to come down. So basically every snowflake is just a little lonely bug looking for love. 🦠❤️❄️
