This is astonishing, yet not surprising. If it feels like you're far less safe in NYC than ever before, it's not bc shootings are up. It's because the media (fueled by lies & fearmongering by NYC Mayor Eric Adams) is up. Look at this chart. Red line is shootings. Grey is media.

Platform success should be measured by “quality of” instead of “quantity of” time participating Being a time-sucker often equates to shit at this point. How often a platform is needed due to the the support it fulfills in users’ lives? Thaaaatt’s the value

Sick of people calling everything in crypto a Ponzi scheme. Some crypto projects are pump and dump schemes, while others are pyramid schemes. Others are just standard issue fraud. Others are just middlemen skimming of the top. Stop glossing over the diversity in the industry.

Been listening to this song for 25 years but not sure it deserves ❤️ status on Apple Music

Oooh man, the Kanye documentary is good. Unbelievable archival footage to tell the origin story. I can't wait for the wide release to see the rest.

30% recruiting
5% being recruited
50% people & team
30% strategy
40% IC work
30% customers
20% yelling “OKRs!” into the wind
5% coding

If you are having trouble figuring out what to do next in your career, try actually writing out your calendar for your perfect workday. What are you physically, literally doing? People get caught in roles and titles - focus on the actual work.

A few people really do ruin the internet for everyone: this study of 1.8 billion Reddit comments shows 0.1% of all communities generate 38% of attacks on other reddits! (1% accounts for 74%!) And a few active users on those Reddits kick off the conflicts. arxiv.org/pdf/1803.03697…
