Platforms like this should create accessibility, equitable distribution, and respect each participating individual’s choices. They should not be used to weaponize rhetoric by on or a few individuals over hundreds of millions of others. By definition, that is an autocracy…

I often find that that the people most heralding AI as the future of everything are the same people avoiding current responsibility for anything. (And for context, I work in the space, but I see very few high-utility ethical implementations.)

The future of gaming is UGE (user generated experience), UGC is a fundamentally limiting concept.

The new generational shift from consumption economics to creation economics will upend every industry.

Reading AI headlines & it can definitely become a threat, but it's not a default outcome. The monumental underlying issue is that most industries operate on an anachronistic economic model & most people don't differentiate between actual skill + reasoning versus memorization.

I visited #Vietnam with @davemcclure and @42geeksofficial 2 years ago and you could see the rapid growth and direct positive impact on society there.

Vietnam’s economic growth is accelerating and could meet or exceed the government’s 6.5% target this year, a minister said. trib.al/bD4VhTr

Tell me when mass enforcing one culture's ideologies on anothers' has ever led to anything but atrocities?

An entire generation of new wealth built on revolting against toxic "old ways" are now trying to enforce equally toxic "new ways" that aren't so new anymore. Ironic on countless levels.

Sad & concerning to see how elitist tech culture/silicon valley hubris/crypto toxicity are surfacing today, almost exclusively from a certain generation. I fear we're near a point of no return, where a small but powerful group of people destroy America due to their own…

*Designs a cool rounded corner button with gradient borders, gradient text, and a transparent background in @figma, then goes code it.. and it doesn't work.* *Spends all weekend reading dozens of articles on the internet saying how it's technically impossible, and falling behind…

I wish more of my very intelligent and accomplished friends (especially on here) would recognize their own contextual bias, self interest, and the emotional drivers of their gut reactions before making destructive decisions and posts. And before someone says I’m inferring one…

Added a new account on @X to my phone for my project, alongside my personal (this) account. By default, I started getting push notifications for “recommended” and “important” posts, nearly exclusively all far right wing propaganda and misinformation. I don’t know what @elonmusk

I built and sold Frame.io for $1.3 billion to Adobe, and along the way, I received plenty of advice that turned out to be entirely off the mark. Here's a look at some of the most glaring misdirections: 1. "As CEO, focus on executive business tasks." This couldn't…

My European Friend: Tell me more about American culture? How would you describe it? Me: Consumerism. #ThatIsIt

It’s insane to me that we have all the access to information, consumed countless stories about the horrors of war and dystopia, lived through a global pandemic, and know that we live on a planet together with resources to sustain us all. Yet we don’t choose to be better.

The dream of equitable utopia is completely viable from a resource, distribution, and access POV. We are the only ones that haven’t decided to make it a reality. 1% of behavioral change would solve half of all the world’s problems.
