at costco in newark delaware. parking lot is insanely packed, multiple police officers are here to do crowd control lol. it’s 11 am on a friday. i’m so confused, why are people not at work
i’m off today but i can’t believe that so many other people are also off! this costco is always like this. large portion are retired people tho which makes sense
My local costco (which serves most of DC) is in an urban area with small roads, next to a post office. You basically can't go near during the holidays.
Made the mistake of going to the target in the Christiana Mall for a PICK UP order a few days before Christmas last year. Didn’t even have to leave my car. Took me over an hour just to leave THE PARKING LOT once I got my order 🥲 never again fuck Delaware and all these ppl lmao

We went to that one the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I was cracking up that it required 2 cops to handle the parking lot traffic.
I used to drive from virginia to this one and I still do from philly when I have a car. Between the really good liquor warehouse without card access and the no sales tax it's mecca.
Work hours have been fucked for years, I was at one today on my way to the dentist and it was packed at 1230
Work from home at most companies is monday and Friday. In office Tues, Wed and Thurs. The volume of traffic is alway noticeable too.
Sis you gotta go to the Glen Mills one. It’s probably the least busy Costco in the area that I’ve been to. Can always manage the crowds and that’s with a stroller and service dog in tow.
i went to safeway (east bay CA) to go grab like 2 things and there were no parking spots there or in the surrounding area 😭😭 had to walk several blocks but i was just confused cause it's the middle of a weekday

No sales tax in DE and gas is cheap in DE also makes it attractive for ppl to stop at

It is ALWAYS like that there. I pass thru for work in lower Delaware back to PA and it’s just always crazy busy.
Newark didn't have a Costco when I lived there in 1989-1991. Now I feel like I missed out.
My local Costco by my house was like that when I went to get lunch today!
Because the hood has decided everyday is Black Friday. They shop load carts up to max & simply walk out wo paying. Crackers look the other way.
