I strongly believe people should slow down on the bike trail. I strongly believe they should wear helmets. I strongly believe neither of these should be legal requirements.
Maybe we’ll even get a bike trail helmet requirement out of this deal. Beware of councilors with neighbors who fall off their bikes.
Don’t be fooled - @SiouxFallsParks Kelby Mieras might say the bike trail speed limit is 15 mph, he probably even believes it. It’s only after this ordinance passes that the limit will actually be written in city law.

Crazy idea: instead of riding an expensive, overly complicated bike in order to make difficult terrain seem easy, why not just ride a rigid bike? Maybe it's over-engineered bikes that make trails seem featureless and boring...
