Inspiring presentation by my colleague Michael Zager at yesterday’s Seattle Web App Developers meetup on the scientific and technical discovery and creativity behind Oncoscape (oncoscape.sttrcancer.org/#/) and the unique value of web dev in data-driven cancer research.
Very illuminating and sobering session by the GKE and Shopify folks on a vulnerability quickly addressed to wrap up a great collection of infosec talks at #kubeCon . While the security landscape of K8 matures rapidly many risks still lurk across the layers of a cluster.
Finding the new Vault Agent mode and Auto-Auth capabilities (bit.ly/2OZ9I46) to be a great aid in efficiently deploying secrets in Kubernetes and other app environment.

Several points on "Drupalgeddon2,": interesting how the Drupal Sec Team referred to CMSS vs CVSS as a vuln scoring standard. Also, humbling to see another huge hole in an OS CMS project with so much focus on sec.
AWS re:Invent announcements always interesting, this year so far seem impressive ++. Multimaster and serverless Aurora, MKS and Fargate alone transform RDMS and containers.
