Great time at inaugural AWS Re-Inforce last week in Boston. Also great experience retrieving my tablet through the DevOps lost and found workflow via my hotel and ileftmystuff.com. Runs on AWS and integrates well with my personal continuous device shedding pipeline.

Fantastic time at the inaugural AWS Re-Inforce last week in Boston. Amazed at the scale, depth, sophistication, and rate of evolution of security in AWS as a unique discipline also consistent with universal standards and protocols.

At a great session on DIY Azure Security Assessments at #MSBuild

Checking out good sessions on zero-trust application architecture and hardening Linux deployments at LinuxFest Northwest.

Great back-to-back sessions on Kubernetes continuous security and micro service management by Chris Van Tuin of Red Hat at LinuxFest Northwest. Headed to the Jupiter Broadcasting BBQ Meetup to unwind.

Great to be at LinuxFest Northwest and the infosec session on watching terminals with Rust and YottaDB

Inspiring presentation by my colleague Michael Zager at yesterday’s Seattle Web App Developers meetup on the scientific and technical discovery and creativity behind Oncoscape (oncoscape.sttrcancer.org/#/) and the unique value of web dev in data-driven cancer research.

Very illuminating and sobering session by the GKE and Shopify folks on a vulnerability quickly addressed to wrap up a great collection of infosec talks at #kubeCon . While the security landscape of K8 matures rapidly many risks still lurk across the layers of a cluster.

With 8,000 other folks at the #kubeCon 2018 keynote

Finding the new Vault Agent mode and Auto-Auth capabilities (bit.ly/2OZ9I46) to be a great aid in efficiently deploying secrets in Kubernetes and other app environment.

At the LPI cert session at LinuxFest Northwest

Great to be at #DevOpsDays Seattle listening to John Allspaw on the importance of human performan, cognition, and incidents in software systems

Several points on "Drupalgeddon2,": interesting how the Drupal Sec Team referred to CMSS vs CVSS as a vuln scoring standard. Also, humbling to see another huge hole in an OS CMS project with so much focus on sec.

AWS re:Invent announcements always interesting, this year so far seem impressive ++. Multimaster and serverless Aurora, MKS and Fargate alone transform RDMS and containers.
