January’s pick for our staff book group is ‘China Room’ by Sunjeev Sahota (a multi-generational novel that moves between 1929 & 1999 rural Punjab). I only have a few chapters to go & I’ve really loved it. We’re meeting this Thursday lunchtime in G18. Everyone welcome! 📚 #RISE

So many tabs/notes in Paige & Maddie’s copies of ‘The Kite Runner’. My Higher class are LOVING the novel & the discussions around plot, themes, characters & setting have been so insightful and mature. All deeply saddened by the current events in Kabul though #RISE #TeamEnglish

Yesterday, one of my fourth year boys said that he ‘might’ bake something for today’s lesson. Today, he strolled in with a four tier chocolate cake that he baked solo!Super impressed! ⭐️
