My thoughts after the IEEE Quantum Week 2024 mustythoughts.com/quantum-week-2… TL;DR: - Conference was great - We need better abstraction hierarchy (see our paper: arxiv.org/abs/2405.13918) - We need some standardization - Results of DARPA's QB program are visible - QRE workshop summary

always wanted to write something about tks, tech culture, and disillusionment. shit's complicated, man. this is such a common experience but it's not represented in online discourse?

It's an active day on the arXiv for the QSI team! Two papers emerging from the DARPA Quantum Benchmarking program (scirate.com/arxiv/2406.187… and scirate.com/arxiv/2406.187…) and another (scirate.com/arxiv/2406.190…) by @Ithilia_V a fellow at Macquarie and long-term visitor to our Centre.

This Thursday (June 13th) Brian Goldsmith will be giving a talk titled: "A Survey of Quantum Resource Estimation Tools". It's part of the preparations for QRE Challenge (details: sites.google.com/view/qce2024-q…) . Register (and more details) here: forms.gle/EEn8KRK3TtNHhx…

We’ve just announced our Quantum Resource Estimation Format (QREF) and the beta-release of Bartiq, a Quantum Resource Estimator. These open-source resources automate the complex and inefficient tasks in developing fault-tolerant algorithms. psiquantum.com/news-import/ps…

I have transcribed my blogpost series about VQAs into a single cohesive PDF and posted in arXiv! I thought that this form might be more useful for people to use as a reference with everything in one place. The link is here: arxiv.org/abs/2402.15879

Hey everyone! QRE community is back again with another presentation & panel discussion, this time learning from Amara Katarwala & the Zapata team on their results on Early FTQC: arxiv.org/abs/2311.14814 Thursday February 1st, at 9am PST/12pm EST. Sign up: bit.ly/3HpoaPB

I've (finally) written the summary of QRE workshops that I co-organized in Seattle in September 2023. We had amazing speakers and a great event! If the topics of QRE, QEC, or FTQC algos interest you, then I think it will be an interesting read! mustythoughts.com/qre-workshops
